ATTC & CCCT convocation ceremony held

PAKYONG, February 27 (IPR): The third convocation of 2025 for Technical Institutes (Advanced Technical Training Centre and Centre for Computers and Communication Technology), organised by the State Board of Technical Education (SBTE) under the Government of Sikkim, was held at the ATTC, Bardang today.
The ceremony was graced by Raju Basnet, minister of Education, Sports & Youth Affairs, Law and Parliamentary Affairs departments as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, Raju Basnet extended his best wishes to the graduating students and recognised the graduates as an asset to the State, further emphasising their importance in community development.
Moreover, he urged the students to leverage their technical skills and knowledge to cultivate entrepreneurship capabilities that will foster increased employment opportunities and growth, rather than depending exclusively on traditional employment pathways.
Initially, he inaugurated the smart classroom initiative aimed at promoting innovative learning methods and technological advancements within the educational structure.
Sonam Palden Barfungpa, principal of ATTC, provided a brief overview of the institution’s history, emphasising ATTC’s significant achievements. He expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister, Prem Singh Tamang, for allocating funds to establish smart classrooms for the students on campus.
Deepak Rasaily, principal of CCCT, highlighted the institution’s successes and the diverse array of courses it offers, emphasising its beneficial impact on the growth and development of its students.
The convocation ceremony celebrated the accomplishments of graduates from CCCT and ATTC with the conferral of degrees. Additionally, the event included a pledge-taking ceremony and the presentation of gold and silver medals to the top achievers.
The programme also had the presence of Sonam Palzor Bhutia, OSD Education department; Tenzing D Kaleon, secretary, Information and Technology department; Sonam Denzongpa, principal director, Education department; Mahindra Pradhan, director, Finance department; Subbiah Gundur, director, Exam/ IT Education along with dignitaries from various department, college faculty, students and parents.
