NAMCHI: Mr Satish Chandra Rai, MLA 11-Namchi Singhithang, conducted an inspection of the newly constructed District Hospital Namchi on Wednesday.
The visit was carried out along with Ms Anupa Tamling DC Namchi, Dr S N Adhikari CMO Namchi, Mr Nim Pintso Bhutia SDM HQ, Mr Saran Kalikotey SDM Namchi, Doctors of Namchi District Hospital, HOOs of line departments, and staff of Namchi District Hospital.
The visit was conducted following the directive of Secretary Health Department to assess the ongoing progress and ensure timely completion of the hospital.
During the inspection, Mr Satish Chandra Rai stressed the need for shifting to the new facility at the earliest possible time to enhance healthcare services in the district. He visited various departments, reviewed the infrastructure, and ensured that the construction adhered to the requirements of healthcare professionals.
Further, he instructed the construction engineer to expedite the remaining work and complete it without delay. He also assured that he would revisit the site to review the progress and stressed that visible developmental improvements should be in place during his next inspection.
