
GANGTOK: Chief Minister Mr. Prem Singh Tamang virtually participated in the launch of the PM Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana and the inauguration and foundation stone laying of various significant schemes and projects of the Government of India, by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi today.
During the event, Prime Minister Modi formally launched the PM Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana, a flagship scheme aimed at promoting agricultural self-reliance. Alongside this, a six-year Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses was unveiled to strengthen India’s pulse production and reduce dependency on imports.
The Prime Minister also inaugurated multiple projects dedicated to the nation, including those under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), Animal Husbandry, and Food Processing Industries, signifying a comprehensive approach toward rural and agricultural development.
Certificates were presented by the Prime Minister to a group of farmers engaged in natural farming, MAITRI technicians certified in their respective fields, and Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) that have successfully transformed into Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samriddhi Kendras (PMKSKs) and Common Service Centres (CSCs), marking significant progress in cooperative sector reforms.

The occasion also served to celebrate several milestones, reflecting the central government’s ongoing dedication to strengthening India’s agricultural ecosystem and empowering rural communities across the nation.
Joining Chief Minister Tamang during the virtual event were Minister Mr. Puran Gurung, Cabinet Secretary Mr. V.B. Pathak, Chief Secretary Mr. R. Telang, and concerned heads of various departments, informs a press release from the Chief Minister’s Office
