GANGTOK: BJP Sikkim concluded its Sangathan Parv 2024 on January 25, marking a significant milestone in the state’s political landscape. The event culminated in the election of DR Thapa as the State President of BJP Sikkim, a unanimous decision that underscores his leadership and vision.
Additionally, former minister NK Subba has been elected as the National Council Member from Sikkim, a testament to his dedication and commitment to the party’s ideals.
A BJP press release informs that the declarations were made by the Election Officer for Sikkim and BJP NE States Co-Coordinator V. Muraleedharan during the organisational elections held at State Party Office, Singtam.
The election process was witnessed by members of the State Council and karyakartas from across the state, demonstrating the party’s commitment to transparency and grassroots participation. During the event, the recently elected District Presidents and Mandal Presidents were felicitated by the NE Co-Coordinator and dignitaries present.
Addressing the gathering, newly elected State BJP president DR Thapa expressed his gratitude to the members of the BJP Sikkim family for their unwavering support. He also commended the team of Sangathan Parv for their tireless efforts in conducting organisational elections up to the State level.
Thapa urged all karyakartas to work collectively for the party’s growth, while ensuring the welfare of the people through various schemes of BJP government. This call to action emphasizes the party’s commitment to serving the people of Sikkim and promoting their well-being, the release mentions.
Earlier, BJP NE Co-Coordinator V. Muraleedharan directed the BJP karyakartas to be vocal advocates for the people’s causes and welfare. He urged them to play a decisive role as an opposition party in Sikkim, promoting accountability and good governance.
The event was conducted by State BJP secretary Bhupendra Giri, with general secretaries Bharat Dulal delivering the welcome address and Arjun Rai offered the vote of thanks.
