GANGTOK: Neil Tara Academy, a private school here in Gangtok, has taken a significant step forward in educational innovation by launching its In-House Radio Station Project NTR (Neil Tara Radio).
This initiative, aligned with the Viksit Bharat vision and the New Education Policy (NEP), is designed to enhance students’ communication and confidence skills. Notably, this marks the first school in the Northeast region to implement such a system, a press release informs.
The academy believes that “today’s guided students are tomorrow’s pillars of Viksit Bharat.”
Through this radio platform, students can freely express themselves, nurturing essential communication skills while overcoming stage fright.
Project NTR, which encourages active participation in discussions, presentations, and public speaking, reflects Neil Tara Academy’s commitment to holistic education and preparing students for future leadership roles, the release mentions.
The launch event was graced by Chairperson Nandu Tiwari as the chief guest, with Poet Pravin Khaling and General Secretary of the Press Club of Sikkim, Dilli Ram Dulal as Guests of Honour.

In line with the NEP’s goal of transforming India into a vibrant knowledge society, Neil Tara Academy aims to create opportunities for students to develop a wide range of skills.
