GANGTOK: Sikkim Krantikari Morcha party’s Parliamentary Board for the upcoming Bye-Elections held its first preliminary meeting chaired by chairman Kunga Nima Lepcha and attended by members Sonam Lama, Arun Kumar Upreti, Bhoj Raj Rai, and Nar Bahadur Dahal (Chettri) in Deorali, Gangtok on October 18.
A SKM press release informs that the board expressed its gratitude to the party president Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) for appointing them to this prestigious and important committee.
“Today’s meeting focused on initial discussions regarding potential candidates for the upcoming Bye-Elections in the Soreng- Chakung and Namchi- Singhithang Assembly constituencies. Strategies for the party’s campaign were also formulated with suggestions that came from party workers,” the SKM said.
The committee will soon submit its report to the party president and the party’s official candidates’ names will be announced shortly. The committee further urged all party workers to remain patient until the official candidates are declared and appealed to offer unanimous support for the party’s decision, the release mentions.
