CAP’s new Namchi district president formally welcomed by CAP Sikkim

GANGTOK: On October 4, the Citizen Action Party (CAP)-Sikkim held a reception program in at District Headquarters in Namchi to formally welcome the newly appointed district president, D.B. (Stephen) Gurung. During the event, the party also extended heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing president, Kiran Zimba, for his invaluable service and leadership.
A press release informs that this important gathering saw active participation from leaders and party workers of CAP Sikkim representing all seven constituencies of Namchi district, reaffirming the party’s unity, strength, and commitment to its mission. Senior leaders and cadres from across the district attended the event in full force, underscoring the importance of this occasion.
In his address, former district president Kiran Zimba shared his experience and wisdom, emphasizing the critical need for unity within the party to continue building on recent successes. On behalf of the party, he thanked all the leaders, workers, and the public whose efforts contributed to the party’s strong showing in the recent elections, where the Citizen Action Party-Sikkim secured the majority of votes in the district.
The newly appointed district president, D.B. Gurung, expressed his deep gratitude to the party and party president Ganesh Kumar Rai for entrusting him with the responsibility of leading Namchi district, a recognized stronghold of the party. He vowed to utilize this opportunity to extend the party’s reach and engage more effectively with the people of Namchi.
Gurung called upon all party leaders and workers to unite and work collaboratively to make Namchi a model district, while further bolstering the party’s organizational framework in the region. He urged for unwavering support from all quarters in achieving this goal, the CAP Sikkim release informs.
