NAMCHI: The poster of the Sikkim International Film Festival was unveiled at the Creative Hub 2.0, Green Park, Jorethang on Wednesday, in the presence of Political Secretary to the Chief Minister, Mr Jacob Kaling, Chairman Sikkim Film Board Mr Tashi Tshering Bhutia, Secretary IPR Department Ms Annapurna Alley, Bollywood Film actress Ms Charu Shankar, Dr Manoj Rai, CEO Artistic Director of NR Group Mr Nitesh Rohit, Founder Himalayan Coffee, Art of Coffee & Creative Economy Mr Dorjee Wangchuk.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Jacob Kaling extended his best wishes during the poster reveal ceremony. He warmly welcomed Bollywood actress Ms Charu Shankar to Sikkim and highlighted the State’s immense potential as a filming destination, noting its scenic locations and conducive environment for film exploration and production.
He also appreciated the continued support of the Chief Minister of Sikkim Mr Prem Singh Tamang, towards the growth of the film sector and expressed hope for increased film-related activities in Sikkim.
Chairman of the Sikkim Film Board Mr Tashi Tshering Bhutia, articulated the vision of the Chief Minister of Sikkim Mr Prem Singh Tamang, emphasizing the State Government’s commitment to supporting the film industry and creating greater opportunities for film production in Sikkim.
Lastly, he called upon all stakeholders to work collectively towards achieving this vision in the future.
