The first two days have been reserved for oath-taking of the newly elected MPs of the Parliament’s Lower House during the first sitting which concludes on July 3.
Indra Hang, who was elected for a second straight term, reached Delhi on Thursday to attend the upcoming first session of the 18th Lok Sabha.
In his message, Indra Hang committed to the people of Sikkim to represent their best interest in the Parliament. He also thanked the people for electing him as the Lok Sabha MP.

“There are, of course, several pending demands and pressing issues of Sikkim that have to be placed strongly in the Parliament. Our voices must also ring strongly along the national corridors of power in New Delhi. Rest assured, I will not step back from this responsibility given to me by the people of Sikkim. My first term’s experience will greatly benefit me in this regard,” said the Lok Sabha MP.
Indra Hang also thanked Chief Minister and SKM president PS Golay, the SKM functionaries and cadre for their guidance and support.
