PAKYONG: LB Das, MLA Pendam constituency-cum-Advisor to Land Revenue & Disaster Management, IT, and IPR departments, inaugurated the installation of the “Welcome to Sikkim” board and the beautification project at Atal Setu at Rangpo checkpost on February 20.
The signboard, installed by the Rangpo Nagar Panchayat, aims to enhance the visual appeal of the entry gate into the State of Sikkim and also reinforce cleanliness and sanitation, commonly known as “Swachhata.”
The event took place in the presence of municipal president Sanjeev Khati, vice president Radha Pradhan, and councillors Pinku Prasad and Sanju Manger. They were joined by the MEO Rangpo, RNP staff, alongside the local public.
During the event, LB Das emphasised the significance of the newly installed signboard, highlighting its role in enhancing the identity of Rangpo as the entry point to Sikkim. He commended the efforts of the Rangpo Nagar Panchayat for their initiative in beautifying the town and reinforcing its importance as a gateway to the State.
Likewise, the dignitaries present also applauded the continuous developmental efforts undertaken by the Rangpo Nagar Panchayat under the guidance of the area MLA.
