GANGTOK: Four Army personnel lost their lives when their vehicle went off the road and plunged down a cliff at Sudunglakha along Rhenock-Rongli road in Pakyong district on September 5.
The mishap took place at around 10 am when the army vehicle carrying the four occupants was heading to Dzuluk from Pedong, Kalimpong district.
The deceased Army jawans were driver Sepoy Pradeep Patel (Madhya Pradesh), CFN W. Peter (Imphal), NK Gursev Singh (Haryana), and Subedar K. Thangapandi (Tamil Nadu). They were from the EMC unit, Binaguri, West Bengal.
