Minister reaches out to rural populace of Yuksam-Tashiding

GYALSHING: Tourism minister Tshering T Bhutia, also the area MLA, on Sunday reached out to the rural populace of Karjee-Mangnam and Dhuppi-Narkhola villages under Yuksam-Tashiding constituency as part of his routine constituency outreach under the Government at Doorstep initiative.
During the visit, the minister toured Dhuppi-Narkhola in the morning and interacted with local residents. He also distributed essential household items such as pressure cookers to the villagers.
The primary objective of the visit was to assess the developmental needs of the villages and initiate appropriate action. Responding to public demands, the minister assured timely execution of developmental works. He informed the gathering that road connectivity and other infrastructure projects would be implemented in a phased manner.
In his brief address, the minister emphasized that such visits are part of his regular outreach and public interaction programme. “I regularly visit various villages under my constituency to understand the needs and concerns of the people,” he stated.
Highlighting the rural tourism potential of the area, the minister shared his vision to transform the region into a rural tourism hub. He informed the locals about upcoming mega homestay projects and encouraged the youth to take advantage of emerging opportunities in the tourism sector.
After identifying tourism potential in specific areas, he assured that such places would be developed accordingly.
The minister further assured the people that their demands would be placed before the Chief Minister on a priority basis.
Additionally, the minister spoke about dairy farming and agriculture, highlighting various welfare schemes introduced by the state government. He assured continued government support for the holistic development of the constituency.
Educated youths also approached the minister for official support and recommendations during the visit. The area MLA interacted personally with villagers and youth at their doorsteps, patiently listening to their concerns and development-related requirements.
As part of his day-long constituency tour, the minister also inspected various government infrastructures, including ongoing construction works across the villages.
