
GANGTOK: Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang attended the celebration of the 50th Raising Day of the Sikkim Armed Police (SAP) at Pangthang on Thursday.
Extending his heartfelt congratulations to the SAP fraternity, the Chief Minister lauded their exemplary service, steadfast spirit, and devotion to duty, which continue to remain a source of immense pride and inspiration for the people of Sikkim.
During his address, the Chief Minister acknowledged the demands placed by the force and reiterated the State Government’s continued commitment to the welfare of police personnel. He highlighted that the government has been ensuring timely promotions, better facilities, and greater opportunities for the police force. He further assured the SAP of his unwavering support and assistance whenever required.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister also announced the construction of family quarters to provide improved living conditions for SAP personnel and their families.
“With great pride, I affirm that the Sikkim Armed Police is among the most disciplined and smart police forces in the country. May they continue to serve with the same zeal, honour, and integrity for many more years to come,” the Chief Minister said.
The golden jubilee celebration marked not just the passage of years but stood as a profound tribute to the unwavering dedication, discipline, and commitment of the SAP in safeguarding peace and upholding law and order in the State.
