Gangtok: A moment of pride and celebration unfolded as outstanding athletes from the State showcased exceptional talent and determination at the Khelo India Beach Games held at Ghoghla Beach, Diu, and the 7th Khelo India Youth Games held in Bihar this May.
Among the medal winners were:
- Ms Yamuna Chettri, who earned a Silver Medal and Ms Eloma Subba, who secured a Bronze Medal for Pencak Silat, a form of martial arts.
- Master Anchal Rai, who clinched a Gold Medal in the 2000m Steeplechase, and
- Master Rewash Rai, who brought home a Bronze Medal in the 65kg Boxing category.
“I extend my heartiest congratulations to these talented young athletes,” said Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay who met the medalists at his official residence this morning. “Their hard work and commitment are truly inspiring.
