Bindhya Subba, hailing from Rinchenpong in the Soreng District of Sikkim, currently serves as the State Yoga Coordinator (Training) under the Education department, Government of Sikkim. A certified and proficient yoga teacher, she has amassed extensive experience in her field through dedication and hard work. Her qualifications include 500-hour Teacher Training Course (TTC), Prenatal Yoga TTC, Aerial Yoga TTC, Sound Healing TTC, AYM Yoga School Iyengar TTC from Rishikesh, and YCB Yoga Master’s course under the Ministry of AYUSH.
Since 2016, Ms Subba has been tasked with training selected children to represent Sikkim at the National Yoga Olympiad. Under her guidance, several students have achieved notable success, including winning gold medals.
In addition to her training responsibilities, she has served as a yoga judge at both the district and State levels since 2017. Furthermore, she trains teachers from various schools in Sikkim, who then pass on their knowledge to students in their respective institutions.

In 2023, Ms Subba was selected as the coach for the Yogasana participants representing Sikkim at Khelo India, held in Ujjain. She also completed the National Yogasana Judge Training Program as part of the 4th National Level Judges Training Programme 2024, organized by Yogasana Bharat, which is recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, and affiliated with World Yogasana.

This program took place from April 29 to May 3, 2024, at NS NIS, Patiala, Punjab. During this training, she excelled, achieving the top position in both the “Time Judge” and “Evaluation Judge” categories.
Her outstanding performance in this program led to her appointment as a technical official judge for the 1st All India Police Weightlifting Cluster Championship 2024-25.
Consequently, Ms Subba has made a significant name for herself as the first yoga judge from Sikkim to participate in a national-level yoga competition, which was recently held in Chhattisgarh from September 23 to 27.
Through her dedication and hard work, Bindhya Subba has become a torchbearer in the field of yoga, inspiring both the young and the old to embrace yoga for a healthier and more fulfilling life.
