GANGTOK: Mr Kuber Bhandari has been sworn in as Sikkim’s new State Information Commissioner. Mr Y P Gurung, State Chief Information Commissioner, administered the oath at the conference hall of Tashiling Secretariat in Gangtok, today.
Earlier, Mr Rinzing Chewang Bhutia, Secretary, Department of Personnel read out the
notification of appointment of the State Information Commissioner.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Mr Vijay Bhushan Pathak, Chief Secretary, Government of Sikkim, Mr A K Singh, DGP, Mr R Telang, Additional Chief Secretary, Head of Departments, senior officials from various departments, and other dignitaries.
The dignitaries present also offered khada and bouquets to the new State Information Commissioner. It may be mentioned that Mr Kuber Bhandari, previously served the Government as Secretary of various Departments before his retirement.
